This release combines two classic Deep Purple shows from Montreux, the first in 1996 and the second in 2006. Few bands have a stronger relationship with Montreux as epitomized in their all-time classic song “Smoke On The Water” with its opening line of “We all came down to Montreux”. The earlier show features the line-up of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, Steve Morse and Ian Paice, whilst the later show sees Don Airey take over the keyboard duties from Jon Lord.
