Shane MacGowan's Popes: Across The Broad Atlantic 2LP
Shane MacGowan's Popes became the first Irish act ever to be able to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on stage in both New York and Dublin in the same year. Due to an outbreak of foot and mouth disease, the official St. Patrick's Day in Dublin was moved to May.
"Across The Broad Atlantic" captures those two 2001 St. Patrick's Day performances - recorded March 17 at New York's Webster Hall and May 19 at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin.
This recording makes its first appearance on LP, being pressed on two green, 140g vinyl.
